（My Heritage, My Dance: MHMD)，旨在加強和鼓勵大學舞蹈社團展示舞蹈多元化，發掘和支持不同文化背景的優秀舞蹈人才。

1. How has the MHMD grant funding helped you in achieving your goals of promoting cultural heritage through dance?

The MHMD grand funding has helped Fei Tian Dancers with our goal of spreading cultural awareness and bringing Chinese dance to our local community in the Bay Area. Through funding our practice spaces, we are able to prioritize the safety of our dancers while promoting an inclusive environment where we can continue to safely work on bringing a program that will educate our peers.

2. Can you share with us a specific project or event that the grant helped you to carry out? What was the impact of this project?

For our 20th anniversary, we produced a professional showcase with over 250+ audience members! Productions are extremely pricey and with out goals of allowing members to perform on a professional stage, we decided to perform at a pricier yet worthwhile venue. the MHMD grant has allowed us to bring our full scale production to the local community while influencing people of all backgrounds to support and immerse themselves in our performance.

3. Would you recommend other organizations to apply for the MHMD grant program? If so, why?

We definitely would recommend other collegiate organizations to apply for the MHMD grant! Not only will you get the opportunity to win funding, you will also connect with other collegiate groups and the generous staff at PACDA. Through applying to MHMD, Fei Tian has had the honor of meeting and working with other groups like Stanford Chinese Dance and the Chinese Cultural Dance Club @ UCLA, where we bonded over the struggles and memories of being a Chinese Dance group!

1. The MHMD grant will enable us to purchase costumes without requiring the members to pay an out of pocket fee! This helps with membership retention, therefore enabling us to perform at numerous other events in addition to the quarterly dance showcase!

2. We would like to use the grant to carry out our spring showcase next year! It’s been a challenge restarting the club after the pandemic, but we did it! Our next step is to form connections with the other dance teams at Stanford and to continue promoting our cultural heritage through dance!

3. Yes! Everyone at PACDA is dedicated to promoting cultural heritage through dance! They truly care about their cause and will do their best to help in any way possible, from sharing their experiences to sponsoring intercollegiate socials.
