Purpose of the activity
Initiated by the Pan America Dance Alliance and co-hosted by the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center . Prizes from various supporting units will be awarded to university associations that have contributed to sharing traditional culture and promoting the development of dance, in recognition of the efforts of college students to spread and inherit dance culture and art. The winning associations will have the opportunity to participate in multi-cultural dance performances. Special consultant for the project: Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company is one of the few American professional dance troupes initiated and led by Asian women. It has spread diverse dance culture in the United States for nearly 30 years.
The origin of the activity
In February 2022, a dance challenge initiated by the Pan American Dance Alliance and dance blogger Ma Jiaolong #DanceWithPACDA2022， The winner, Cynthia Chen, a Chinese-American from Canada, will give back all the prize money to the Pan American Dance Alliance. Cynthia Chen thanked Pan American for providing resources and opportunities for Chinese dancers around the world, and called on everyone to join the ranks of spreading Chinese dance. This award is used as the initial fund to start the “Cultural Inheritance, My Heart Dances” scholarship program.
Grant Program Application Open
MHMD Grant Program application requires applicants to submit a project proposal that their organization will complete during the academic year along with an application form. Projects can be presentations/performances, cultural events, film, video or other formats. The display form can be arranged flexibly, but the ultimate goal must be to promote cultural heritage through dance.

由泛美舞蹈聯盟發起主辦主辦、南海岸中華文化中心聯合主辦的「文化傳承，我心起舞」 獎學金計劃項目，旨在加強和鼓勵大學舞蹈社團展示舞蹈多元化，發掘和支持不同文化背景的優秀舞蹈人才。
2023「文化傳承，我心起舞」獎學金項目申請
MHMD 2023 獎學金項目申請要求申請人提交其組織將在 2023-2024 學年內完成的項目提案以及申請表格。項目可以是展示/表演、文化活動、電影影視或其他形式。展示形式可靈活安排，但最終的目標必須是通過舞蹈促進文化傳承。
